Three different townships in Lehigh County carry the Whitehall name, and they are not the same place. Whitehall Township runs along the Lehigh River through Fullerton and Cementon. South Whitehall sits west of Allentown around Cetronia and the Dorney Park side. North Whitehall is the rural one, up through Schnecksville, Orefield and Neffs. Eco Tree Service works all three, and the tree work in each one looks completely different.

Emergency Tree Removal in Whitehall

The older neighborhoods along the river were planted heavily and a lot of those trees are now at the end of their run. Silver maples especially. They grow fast, they get big, and they come apart in wind and wet snow. If a tree or a limb is down on your house, your car or your driveway, call us. We run emergency service 24 hours a day and we clear the whole thing, not just the part showing from the street.

Which Whitehall Are You In?

This trips people up constantly, so here is the short version. Whitehall Township addresses are 18052. North Whitehall covers 18078 Schnecksville, 18069 Orefield and 18065 Neffs. South Whitehall is the confusing one, because the mailing address on most of those homes says Allentown, 18104 or 18106, even though the township is South Whitehall. If your mail says Allentown and you are not sure which side of the line you are on, just call. We cover all of it either way, along with neighboring Coplay at 18037.

Stump Grinding in Whitehall

After a tree is removed, the stump is often the most annoying part of the job. It's a tripping hazard for children and pets, it takes up usable yard space, and it can harbor insects and fungi. We offer stump grinding on the same visit as tree removal at a bundled price, or as a standalone service. We grind below grade so you can seed over the area and put it out of your mind.

Tree Removal Across the Three Whitehall Townships

In Whitehall Township proper, through Fullerton and down toward Cementon, the lots are tight and the houses are close. There are utility lines over a lot of those back yards and not much room to drop anything. Those are rigging jobs. We take the tree apart in sections and lower the wood rather than letting it fall, and we keep the truck out of the alley traffic while we work.

South Whitehall is a different animal. Most of it went up in the postwar decades and the shade trees went in at the same time, which means whole streets are now carrying trees of the same age hitting the same problems at once. Big oaks and maples over driveways and roofs. Plenty of room to work in those yards, which usually keeps the price down, but the trees themselves are large enough that the job is about control rather than speed.

North Whitehall is open ground. Once you are past Orefield heading toward Schnecksville and Neffs, the properties turn into acreage and a lot of what we take out is hedgerow, field edge and roadside timber. On a lot that size we can often fell a tree whole and cut it up where it lands, which is faster and cheaper than rigging. Ash is the other thing we see across all three townships. Emerald ash borer went through Lehigh County and the dead ash along fence lines and woods edges is still coming down, and those go brittle fast.

Whitehall Township is 18052, North Whitehall covers 18078 Schnecksville, 18069 Orefield and 18065 Neffs, and South Whitehall addresses usually read Allentown 18104 or 18106. We cover neighboring Coplay at 18037 as well.

Anthony did a great job removing bushes and trees along my fence line in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was quick, prompt, and cleaned up nicely after himself. Will definitely use him again. Prices are more than fair.

I first used Eco about a year ago when a limb fell at the end of the driveway after a severe storm. While walking around the neighborhood, I saw Eco was doing a job and asked if they could take a look at mine.

Anthony was great to work with. We used ECO to cut back extremely unruly arborvitae. They scheduled and performed the work quickly and exactly how I wanted it done.

Tree Removal Questions from Whitehall Homeowners

How much does tree removal cost in Whitehall?

It depends on the size of the tree, what is underneath it and how much room we have to work. The same tree costs less on an open North Whitehall lot than it does in a tight Fullerton back yard with wires overhead, because one is a felling job and the other is a rigging job. We come out, look at it, and give you an itemized quote before anything starts.

My mailing address says Allentown but I live in South Whitehall. Do you cover me?

Yes. A lot of South Whitehall homes carry an Allentown mailing address in 18104 or 18106, and it throws people off. We work the whole township either way, so if your mail says Allentown you are still covered.

Can you handle emergency tree removal in Whitehall?

Yes. If a tree or a large limb has come down, call 484-695-4222 and we will get to you as quickly as we safely can, day or night.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We are fully insured and hold Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor License #098771, so you are covered on every job.

Do you go up into North Whitehall and Schnecksville?

Yes, all the way up through Orefield, Schnecksville and Neffs. Those are bigger properties and a lot of the work up there is hedgerow and field edge clearing rather than single trees, which we do plenty of.

There are wires near my tree. Can you still take it down?

Usually, but it depends which wire. The service line running from the pole to your house is something we work around all the time. Anything in contact with the main utility lines has to be called in to the power company first, and we are not going to touch that until it is. We will tell you at the estimate which one you are dealing with.
