Clearance trimming is pruning branches back to create space between your tree and the things around it, your roof, your driveway, your house, the power lines. It is less about the tree and more about protecting everything the tree is growing into.

What about limbs in the power lines?
We handle clearance around your home and the service drop. If branches are tangled in the primary utility line, that is usually the power company's responsibility, and we will point you in the right direction if so.
Will trimming for clearance hurt the tree?
