I have been doing tree work in the Lehigh Valley since 1999, and I still run this company the same way I did on day one. The homeowner is the boss. That is not a slogan, it is just how the work gets won around here, because most of my jobs come from referrals and repeat customers.

How a Job Actually Runs
Most of what makes a tree company easy or difficult to work with happens before a saw ever starts. This is how ours goes.
You call and we come look at it
In person, at the property, free. Photos help us tell you how urgent something is, but we are not going to quote a removal off a photo and then revise the number when we show up and see the access. We walk the property with you and look at the actual tree.
You get a written quote
Itemized, so you can see what is removal, what is stump grinding, and what is cleanup, and approve all of it or part of it. Nothing gets cut that you have not agreed to.
We schedule around you and around the weather
Tree work is weather dependent and anyone who tells you otherwise is going to disappoint you. What we will do is tell you when a day is going to move and why, rather than leaving you sitting home waiting for a truck.

We work to OSHA and ANSI Z133 standards
OSHA sets the federal requirements for this kind of work, and ANSI Z133 is the tree care industry's own safety standard. It covers everything from how close a worker may get to an energized line to when a climbing rope has to be taken out of service. That is the bar the work is held to, and it is the bar we work to. One thing worth knowing while you are comparing companies: OSHA does not certify tree services. There is no such thing as an OSHA certified tree company, so if you see that on a truck or a website, it is marketing rather than a credential.
Protective equipment on every job, not just the big ones
Hard hats, eye protection, hearing protection, cut resistant leg protection any time a saw is running, and proper boots. The small job in the front yard is where people get complacent, and it is where a lot of injuries happen.
Nobody stands under the load
Before anything comes out of a tree, the area underneath it is cleared and it stays cleared until the piece is on the ground. That includes us, and it includes you. We will ask you, your kids, and your dog to stay inside or well back while we are cutting, and we are not being unfriendly about it. Watching from the deck is the one thing we will always say no to.

Ropes, saddles, lanyards, rigging hardware, and saws get looked over before they go up in a tree, not after something goes wrong. The service line running from the pole to your house is your responsibility and it is work we do. The high voltage lines running pole to pole down the street belong to the utility, and that is their crew, not ours. Until the power company tells us otherwise, every line on a property gets treated as energized. We will tell you plainly which situation you are in rather than guessing at it in your driveway.
