Anthony did a great job removing bushes and trees along my fence line in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was quick, prompt, and cleaned up nicely after himself. Will definitely use him again. Prices are more than fair.
I first used Eco about a year ago when a limb fell at the end of the driveway after a severe storm. While walking around the neighborhood, I saw Eco was doing a job and asked if they could take a look at mine.
Anthony was great to work with. We used ECO to cut back extremely unruly arborvitae. They scheduled and performed the work quickly and exactly how I wanted it done.
Stump Grinding Questions, Answered
How much does stump grinding cost?
It depends on the diameter of the stump, how many you have, and how accessible they are. We look at the job and give you an itemized quote before we start. If you are having a tree removed, grinding the stump at the same time is usually the most cost-effective way to do it.
How deep do you grind the stump?
We typically grind four to six inches below grade, which is enough to replant grass, lay soil, or put down mulch. If you plan to plant a new tree or pour a slab in the same spot, let us know and we can grind deeper.
Do you remove the grindings, or are they left behind?
That is your choice. Grinding produces a pile of wood chips and soil. Many homeowners use it to backfill the hole, but if you would rather we haul it away and leave the area clean, we can do that too. Just tell us when we quote the job.
Will grinding get rid of the roots?
Grinding removes the stump and the flare of the root system at the surface. The smaller lateral roots left in the ground simply decay over time and will not regrow, since the tree is gone.
Can you grind a stump close to my house or fence?
Yes. We grind stumps near foundations, patios, fences, and walkways. We check for anything that shouldn't be disturbed and work carefully around it.
